Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, today, declared open a two-day workshop on strict compliance with assets declaration and code of conduct for Enugu State public office holders being organized by the Code of Conduct Bureau (The Presidency) at The Base Event Centre, Independence Layout, Enugu.
Gov. Ugwuanyi, who was earlier commended by the Chairman of the Code of Conduct Bureau, Prof. Mohammed Isah, for his exceptional support and commitment to public office holders’ strict compliance with the rules of the Bureau, disclosed that his administration has continued to ensure that all public officers adhere strictly to the constitutional responsibilities of compliance with asset declaration and Code of Conduct “through our strategic liaison with the Enugu State office of the Bureau”.
Describing the workshop as “both desirable and timely”, the governor recommended that the Bureau organizes the programme every four years, to promote public officers’ compliance with the provisions of all extant laws of the establishment, at the beginning and end of their tenure.
