Governor Udom Emmanuel’s firm economic policy and industrialization drive has won him applause from the Late Dr. Clement Isong Foundation.
At the Yar’Adua Conference Center in Abuja, Governor Emmanuel received an Excellence Award from the Vice Chairman of the Foundation, and wife of the late former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Nne Clement Isong.
The event, which was the presentation of a book written by Dr. Udeme Nana in honour of Late Dr. Clement Isong, was witnessed by several prominent Nigerians, including Obong Victor Attah, former Governor of Akwa Ibom State.
The book titled, “Clement Nyong Isong, a life of integrity, discipline and public service”, unravels the story of the man who effectively managed the economy of the country during the civil war of 1967 to 1970, and went on to govern the old Cross River State, championing an industrial revolution which is currently being replicated in Akwa Ibom under Gov. Udom Emmanuel.
